As we bring our project on enhancing Investigative Reporting on environmental pollution by the extractive industry in Rwanda to a close, we take this moment to reflect with gratitude and pride.
This initiative has been an important step in strengthening the role of the media in uncovering, analysing, and reporting on the environmental damage linked to extractive activities. By equipping journalists with the tools, skills, and knowledge to pursue investigative reporting and uncovering tortious civil and criminal liability of extractive industry actors, More importantly we advanced the cause of accountability, transparency and sustainable development of the Rwanda civil society.
