UGANDA: LAUNCH OF ICT INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY GUIDELINES

In March 2025, Uganda introduced new ICT Intellectual Property Guidelines, a significant step to protect innovations in its growing tech sector. Experts have welcomed this move, which provides a framework for safeguarding software, digital content, and other ICT-related IP.

This aligns with Uganda’s broader strategy to bolster its digital economy and could set a precedent for other East African nations.
